1. Who we are

WaveLine Labs is operated by WaveLine Labs Ltd, based in Auckland, New Zealand (hello@wavelinelabs.com). We provide AI search visibility tools for small businesses in New Zealand and Australia.

2. What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information: email address when you create an account or sign in.
  • Business information: name, category, location, website URL, phone number, trading hours, and other facts you enter about your business.
  • Audit results: responses from AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) about your business, stored so you can track changes over time.
  • Usage data: anonymous request logs (IP address, timestamp) used solely for rate-limiting abuse of the free audit. IPs are hashed before storage.
  • Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe — we do not store card numbers or full payment details.

3. How we use it

  • To run AI visibility audits and weekly re-checks on your behalf.
  • To host your public facts page (if you choose to publish one).
  • To send transactional emails: welcome, ownership verification confirmation, weekly visibility updates. We do not send marketing emails without consent.
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe.
  • To prevent abuse of the free anonymous audit feature.

4. Public facts pages

If you choose to publish a facts page, the business name, category, location, hours, phone number, and address you provide will be publicly accessible at a URL on wavelinelabs.com. This is the intended purpose: making your information readable by AI crawlers. You can unpublish at any time from your dashboard.

5. Third-party services

  • Supabase (database and auth) — data hosted in AWS ap-southeast-2 (Sydney).
  • Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery. Email content is transmitted to Resend's servers.
  • OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity — your business name and location are sent to these services as part of audit queries. Only the information needed to run the query is sent.

6. Data retention

Anonymous free audit results are deleted after 30 days if not claimed. Claimed business data and audit history is retained for the life of your account. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@wavelinelabs.com.

7. Your rights (NZ Privacy Act 2020)

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Email hello@wavelinelabs.com to exercise these rights. We will respond within 20 working days.
